The quick access toolbar remains whether you're in the calendar, in tasks, in email or wherever. So if you wanted to modify the home tab for example, and you customize the ribbon what you'll find is there's a home tab of email, there's a home tab for calendar in the table view, a home tab for the calendar, a home tab for contacts and that's a lot of customization just to modify the home tab. And in some of the other applications since we can customize the ribbon folks have moved away from the quick access toolbar but here in Microsoft Outlook this quick access toolbar is very important because each of these tabs is different for the different Outlook applications. Didn't allow us to modify the ribbon at all. It makes it easier to adjust your document with precision. The Ruler The Ruler is located at the top and to the left of your document. The command will be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select the command you want to add from the menu. We got this quick access toolbar in the version of Office that didn't allow us to customize the user interface. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Quick Access Toolbar.
